I watch it for the commercials

Nice, slow three-hour trail run. This week pretty much staged as last - second verse, same as the first. It's now February, and the marathon is in May, so I'm going to continue to add as much weekly mileage as possible. The trick is to add mileage slowly, so as to trick your body into thinking it's nothing.

Then, the Superbowl. Yes, football is one of the better spectator sports, and I think the matchup this year is interesting, so I'll be watching the game. But, what's even more important are the commercials. Commercials are something we all take for granted - as simply a necessity in the function of free communication / information / entertainment. But, if you add up every facet of human evolution, you will end up with the one thing that represents humanity more than any other: the commercial. Bad commercials, of course, can seem downright evil. But a good commercial is an art form with which no other can compete. And the Superbowl is the one event each year that promises the best commercials ever. They won't all be great. In fact, some may actually stink. But, they'll all be very expensive.
